ABOUT US

Arizona Bible College and Seminary (AZBCS) is designed with an accelerated academic schedule and offers affordable tuition with low debt burden. The College maintains an open enrollment admission policy, which requires proof of a high-school diploma, GED, or its equivalent. The seminary requires a bachelor's degree for enrollment.

Arizona Bible College and Seminary fills a unique niche in post-secondary Christian education by providing continuing education for students seeking to serve in the ministry field.

Since 2008, the education programs have been developed for our on-line curricula and continuing education credit is available for all participating students.

With AZBCS online study programs, students learn biblical knowledge at a college and seminary level and develop ministry training to become a ministry career professional in 12 - 24 months. For students working in a lay capacity in ministry, our programs will improve their professional skills and help them to minister on a broader and more effective level. Those seeking a professional career in ministry will learn HOW and WHERE to find a job here. Our programs will guide each student every step of the way and there is no experience necessary to start.

Our graduates are highly regarded and recognized by churches and para-church organizations around the world

Action training gives you knowledge and experience.

Your AZBCS education contains hands-on training. Each lesson is an easy-to-understand audio/visual action experience. Actual situations and sessions give on-the-job style training to advance you quickly. Learning by doing is the best and most effective way to learn new skills. The AZBCS training program was specifically written to provide you with everything you need to ensure your advancement.

For many, what we offer is a great opportunity to study ministry classes, without having to leave the convenience of their homes, their jobs or families by studying online. Once accepted, students can attend our subsidized programs and work towards their selected degree online. Our campus is completely online and we encourage chat, clubs, blogs, forums, and video and photo exchange between students.

In the process of gaining a degree, students will get an outstanding Christian education (with certain degrees leading to ordination) and an opportunity to become leaders in their chosen field of ministry. To be eligible for the College, students must be United States citizens and meet the academic requirements for the desired program.
For our graduates, there are several opportunities to upgrade their degree and undergo further education.

Our ordaining partner, General Conference of the Evangelical Baptist Church, will subsidize the tuition of an Arizona Bible College and Seminary applicant seeking ordination with them, to a maximum of $2500/yr. with a three year limit. NOTE: AZBCS is an independent, non-denominational college and seminary. However, students are free to be ordained with which ever Christian denomination they choose. Academic requirements will vary according to the program. THE FIRST AND LAST WORD IN MINISTRY CAREERS SINCE 2006

http://www.ripon.edu/news/2007-08/images/20070910_ucan_logo_final150pxw.jpgArizona Bible College and Seminary, is a division of Abbey Ministries and operates under recognition of exemption, as a religion based degree granting institution, by the Arizona State Board of Private and Post Secondary Education Department under A.R.S. 32-3022 (E). The state of Arizona, like other states, does not require accreditation or theological accreditation for our religious education curriculum.

NOTE 6/1/2010: Arizona Bible College and Seminary has begun state licensing with Arizona State Board of Private and Post Secondary Education Department to award AA, BA amd MA degrees with state approval. This process is the first step towards accreditation and we must be licensed for two years before the accreditation process can begin.

However, the College and Seminary is affiliated with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities - University and College Accountability Network UCAN. The University and College Accountability Network, selects only accredited or non-accredited schools with professional standing to be members with them, to ensure quality educational standards.

Please note: The College will not seek accreditation from governmental secular boards or agencies which conflict with our Christian beliefs since such accreditation programs invariably require conformity to non-biblical standards of instruction, operation, and/or philosophy. (see Accreditation Standard 211)

Arizona Bible College and Seminary operates under the authority of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by Chapters 67 and 635 of the Statutes of 2007.

Our Mission

A Christian education is part of Christ’s Great Commission to disciple the nations. Matthew 28:19 - 20 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." The word discipline means to train, and the word instruct means to teach. Education includes both. As teachers labor to nurture, instruct, and discipline students, their central task is to make Disciples of Christ. By warning against unbelief, rebellion, and the spirit of this age, the teacher seeks to train the student to become a disciple of Christ.

The mind of the student should strive towards Christ with reason, understanding and passion. Both the mind and the will of the student need to be trained and brought into subjection to God’s authority. The mind needs to be trained to submit to Scripture and to resist the temptation of leaning on one’s own understanding. Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Not only should the heart and soul seek and long for Christ; the mind should also.  Matthew 22:37 “Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. '’’ Teaching followers of Christ to exercise their minds in reason is an act of worship. Worship is an appreciation and a desire for a thing. The more we understand Christ the more we can appreciate him.

Each person who is in Christ should reach towards the calling of Christ - Philippians 3 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”  The student should be taught to reason in a consistent, biblical, structured manner and exercise proper biblical discipline to reach the goal. As you turn your mind away from the things of this world as towards the things of Christ then the whole will of a person can be subjected to the will of God. It will cause the student to then be powerfully effective toward the cause of Christ.
Arizona Bible College and Seminary, strives to bring to our students an exceptional Christian education based on these standards.

We warmly welcome you to our college and seminary.
